Poultons has proudly remained a family-run business since it was first established in 1951 by Bert Poulton. Over the decades, the company has been built on strong values, quality craftsmanship, and a commitment to serving our customers and community.
Today, Poultons enters an exciting new chapter under new, fresh ownership, run by Tristan Mummery. While honouring the company’s rich history and traditions, Tristian is committed to continuing the high standards Poultons is known for, while bringing renewed energy and a forward-thinking approach to the business.
- All of our garden buildings are made by locally skilled craftsmen at our show site in Danbury, Essex.
- All of our craftsmen are fully trained to work with the best available timber for the job. We always use quality Redwood Pine rather than larch or similar short life timbers.
- Our craftsmen are fully trained in suitable methods of construction.

All buildings include one coat of oil-based wood stain in your choice of colour. Farrow & Ball premium paints are available at an additional cost, as shown in the calculator below. Browse our base options for your foundation.
Our standard treatment for all timber buildings. These oil-based wood preservers protect against rot, decay, and wood-boring insects whilst giving your building a beautiful, natural finish.

For a premium painted finish, we offer the full Farrow & Ball Exterior Eggshell range. These colours provide up to six years of protection against flaking, peeling, and fading.

Every building needs a solid foundation. We offer three base options to suit your site and budget. Prices are calculated per square metre based on your chosen building size.
Base prices are calculated automatically in our shed calculator based on your selected building size. Concrete base pricing is subject to a site survey. All prices exclude VAT.
